Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Vendor Relations Specialist to join our rapidly growing team. The Vendor Relations Specialist is responsible for all aspects of vendor relations including the identification of potential vendors, onboarding new vendors, maintenance of current vendors, and on-going vendor-facing activities. This position will acquire the content from current and new vendors, and service that content to our clients via the Bravo Business Media and Unilog platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Confidently present our Company and products, and clearly articulate capabilities and advantages to prospective vendors and current vendors
    • Identify and contact potential vendor partners through cold calls, emails, and appropriate social media channels
    • Initiate and maintain the timely and accurate collection of vendor documents
    • Anticipate and identify vendor needs; Respond to those needs accordingly
    • Track and report on new vendor activity as dictated by management
    • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to support the vendor management process
    • Identify process efficiencies and workflow improvements and escalate proposed solutions
    • Other duties as assigned

 Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in relevant field of study such as Communications or Marketing

Experience:

  • One to two years’ experience working with software, eCommerce products, or SaaS solutions preferred
  • One to two years’ experience as a Business/Sales/Marketing Development Representative or similar role preferred
  • Proven experience aggressively prospecting and generating new vendor leads
  • Proven ability to overcome objections and maintain a positive attitude

Technical Skills:

  • Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Familiarity with CRM tools
  • Proficiency with social media channels for prospecting

 Soft Skills:

  • Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Superior time management skills; must be able to meet strict deadlines
  • Highly organized and detail orientated
  • Ability to self-direct, creatively problem solve, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
  • Ability to work on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
